"Bachatas Forever" by Jose' Alfonso (Latin Artist from Boston Massachusetts(MA))

"Bachatas Forever" by Jose' Alfonso brings you the hot latin sound of Bachata, which features vocals, guitar, bass, bongo and guira. This album is quite successful in giving you a modern sound without compromising the traditional sound. The music has a strong latin beat to it. The arrangements are unique and the vocal performances from Mr. Garcia (a former Dominican radio personality) are impressive as he uses his strong voice very effectively for this latin genre. Highlights are "Lloro Porque La Quiero," with a very unique arrangement and intimate vocals. "Vibora Mala" throws a drum machine into the mix and has a great "Island" feel. There is an English version of this one as well. "Perdon" features some great guitar work. If you like strong latin male vocalists and latin music, you will enjoy this one.

"Hablame" by Herman Rodriguez (Latin Artist from Los Angeles, California(CA))

"Hablame" by Herman Rodriguez is a collection of beautifully romantic Latin love songs. Being from Mexico, Herman's music has a touch of tradition, including some Mariachi. For the most part the album is very contemporary with a strong vocal performance and nice arrangements blending a number of styles. Highlights are"Tu Fuiste La Causa," a traditional Mariachi number with delicate but fun strings and punchy horns. "Cuando Te Conosi" introduces an electric guitar and nice vibrato in the vocals. "Crei" features some great spanish guitar and a has a "walking on air" feel to it. If you like latin love songs and Mariachi music, you will like this one.

“O Reid a Guitarra Havaiana 4” by Ambrogio Gaigher (Latin Artist from Brazil)

"O Reid a Guitarra Havaiana 4" by Ambrogio Gaigher is filled with soothing, latin-influenced mostly-instrumental tracks. This collection exhibits a heavy world influence. Taking the lead on this CD is Ambrogio's impressive steel guitar work, backed by light percussion. "Bela Maria" introduces some diversity with its choral vocal arrangements. "Oh! São Paulo" is perhaps this CD's most outstanding track, with its memorable lead vocals and contagious rhythm section. Music lovers who enjoy steel guitar with strong doses of Latin and Brazilian flair will enjoy this CD.
